Noriko Figure Mon-Sieur Bome Volume 18
From the classic 1980s mecha series by Gainax, Gunbuster ,Kaiyodo presents the eighteenth Monsieur Bomé Collection release, dedicated to the Noriko! The figure stands approximately 8-inch tall, features a display base and comes in blister card packaging.
Mech handlers in big-robot-animation-series generally fit into two basic molds. The first mold is that of an ace pilot with innate skills who takes to maneuvering a robot like a duck takes to water. The second mold follows a more humble path where the hero has potential but must work hard to get to the lofty levels of the aforementioned prodigies. In the Gunbuster anime series, Noriko Takaya fits squarely in the second mold. Unsure of herself at the outset of the animation, Noriko eventually grits her teeth, finds her impressive abilities within, and pushes them forward to help the cause.
Monsieur Bomé is the world-renowned Japanese sculptor who worked for many years making "garage kits."
Today, the artist works for toy manufacturer Kaiyodo, where he releases new and amazingly popular figures in the Bomé Collection-- and it's just a matter of time until every release has sold-out! Bomé is regarded as a "fine artist" by his many fans, and even hosted an exhibit of his works in early 2001 in Paris, France!
